GSAPP F'07. MATTER

Housing occupies a spatial and perceptual territory where the domestic and the urban—the intimate and the collective—intertwine. Pliant strategies and tactics of organization are developed to negotiate individual domestic terrains, orchestrate aggregations and collective intersections, and choreograph networks of exchange across urban landscapes and social fields. Strategies are tested within uneven environmental and social pressures—recalibrating noise, waste, wind, horizon, surface, porosity, density, concept, and metaphysics.
